Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Linguini

Cook the homemade linguini according to the recipe or package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Chicken

Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Dredge each piece in flour, shaking off the excess.

  3. 3

    Cook the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  4. 4

    Make the Sauce

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Bring to a simmer and let it reduce for about 3-4 minutes.

  5. 5

    Finish the Sauce

Add the capers and the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the sauce. Stir until the butter melts and the sauce thickens slightly.

  6. 6

    Combine and Serve

Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over the chicken, and allow it to heat through for about 2 minutes. Serve the chicken piccata over the cooked linguini, garnished with chopped parsley.
