Burger Patty

Toppings

Method

Prepare the Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.

Cook the Burger

  1. 3

    Heat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of smoked cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for another 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

  2. 6

    Add the Toppings

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted smoked cheddar. Slice the tomato and place a few slices on top of the cheese. Top with the other half of the bun.
