Chili Preparation

Cook the Ground Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.

Add Remaining Chili Ingredients
Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and reduce heat to low. Let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Macaroni Preparation

Cook the Macaroni
While the chili is simmering, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Combine Chili and Macaroni
Once the macaroni is cooked and drained, add it to the skillet with the chili. Stir well to combine.
Final Assembly

Add Cheese and Sour Cream
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the chili mac. Allow it to melt for a few minutes on low heat. Serve hot with a dollop of sour cream on top.
