Method

Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patty

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined, then form into 4 equal patties, each weighing about 1/4 pound.

  2. 2

    Cook the Burger Patty

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.

Pulled Pork

  1. 3

    Cook the Pulled Pork

Season the pork shoulder with smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Place in a slow cooker and pour BBQ sauce over it. Cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the pork is tender and shreds easily. Once done, shred the pork with two forks and mix it with the remaining BBQ sauce.

Slaw Mix

  1. 4

    Prepare the Slaw

In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and grated carrots. In a separate small bowl, mix mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrots, and toss until well combined. Let the slaw sit for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Burger Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the brioche buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster. On the bottom half of each bun, place a burger patty with melted cheese, followed by a generous scoop of pulled pork. Top with slaw mix and finish with the top half of the bun. Serve immediately.
