Method

Prepare the Brisket

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brisket

If you have not done so already, smoke the brisket until tender, which takes about 6-8 hours depending on size. Once cooked, allow it to rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing.

  2. 2

    Slice the Brisket

Slice the brisket into bite-sized pieces and toss them with BBQ sauce in a bowl until well coated.

Make Cheese Sauce

  1. 3

    Melt Cheese

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and milk. Stir continuously until melted and smooth.

  2. 4

    Season the Sauce

Add garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to the cheese mixture. Mix well and remove from heat.

Assemble Nachos

  1. 5

    Layer Tortilla Chips

Spread the tortilla chips evenly on a large baking sheet or serving platter.

  2. 6

    Add Toppings

Layer the sliced brisket on top of the tortilla chips, followed by the shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and sliced jalapeños.

  3. 7

    Drizzle Cheese Sauce

Pour the cheese sauce generously over the nachos, ensuring even coverage.

Garnish and Serve

  1. 8

    Add Garnish

Top the nachos with dollops of sour cream and sprinkle chopped green onions over the top.

  2. 9

    Serve

Serve immediately while hot and enjoy your brisket nachos!
