Preparation of Baked Potatoes

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Season Potatoes
Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle with salt to taste.

Bake Potatoes
Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet. Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until they are tender when pierced with a fork.
Preparing Toppings

Heat Smoked Meat
If using leftover smoked meat, warm it in a saucepan over medium heat or in the microwave until heated through.

Assembling the Loaded Baked Potatoes

Cut the Potatoes
Once baked, remove potatoes from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Cut each potato lengthwise and gently squeeze the ends to fluff the inside.

Add Butter
Add 1 tablespoon of butter into each potato and let it melt.

Add Cheese
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the buttered potato, allowing it to melt slightly.

Spoon sour cream generously over the cheese.
