Burger Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Burger Patty
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- 2
Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
- 3
- 4
Cook the Patties
In the same skillet, increase the heat to medium-high. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium doneness.
- 5
Add the Blue Cheese
During the last minute of cooking, place the blue cheese on top of each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
Assembly
- 6
- 7
Assemble the Burger
On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the burger patty with melted blue cheese, crispy bacon, tomato slice, and red onion slices. Top with the other half of the bun.
