Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the French bread in a crisscross pattern without cutting all the way through to create a 'grid' of sections.

  2. 2

    Mix the Filling

In a bowl, combine mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, chopped basil, chopped parsley, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.

  3. 3

    Stuff the Bread

Gently pull apart the slices of bread and stuff the cheese and herb mixture into each section of the bread.

  4. 4

    Toast the Bread

Wrap the stuffed bread in aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the bread from the oven, let it cool slightly, then slice and serve warm. Drizzle with maple balsamic reduction if desired.
