For the Truffle Brie Burger

Method

To Prepare the Truffle Brie Burger

1

Prepare the Red Wine Onions

Slice the onion and sauté it in a pan over medium heat with olive oil until translucent. Add red wine and cook until the wine reduces and the onions are caramelized. Set aside.

2

Cook the Bacon

In the same pan, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

3

Make the Truffle Mayo

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise with truffle oil and a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.

4

Form the Beef Patties

In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into two equal patties.

5

Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Brie on each patty to melt.

6

Prepare the House Fries

Cut the potatoes into wedges, toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper, and bake at 425°F (220°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden and crispy.

7

Assemble the Burger

Spread the truffle mayo on the pretzel buns. Layer arugula, the beef patty with melted Brie, crispy bacon, red wine onions, and sliced tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.
