Ingredients

Method

Directions

  1. 1

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and celery, and sauté until they are softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

  2. 2

    Add Flour

Sprinkle the flour over the sautéed vegetables and stir to combine. Cook for 2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.

  3. 3

    Pour in Broth

Gradually pour in the chicken or vegetable broth, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

  4. 4

    Add Corn and Seasonings

Add the corn, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to the pot. Allow the bisque to simmer for about 10-15 minutes, until the corn is tender.

  5. 5

    Incorporate Crab and Cream

Stir in the heavy cream and crab meat. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, just until the crab is heated through. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

  6. 6

    Serve

Ladle the bisque into bowls and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
