For the Steak

Method

Prepare the Steak

1

Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to form a marinade. Add the flank steak to the bowl, ensuring it is well coated. Cover and let marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator for more flavor).

2

Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Grill or cook the steak for about 5-7 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness. Once cooked, remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Assemble the Burrito

3

Slice the Steak

After the steak has rested, slice it thinly against the grain.

4

Prepare the Tortillas

Warm the flour tortillas in a skillet or microwave until soft and pliable.

5

Layer Ingredients

On each tortilla, add a portion of cooked rice, black beans, sliced steak, shredded cheese, sour cream, lettuce, diced tomatoes, and avocado slices.

6

Wrap the Burrito

Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly from the bottom. Ensure all the filling is secured inside.

7

Serve

Serve the burritos warm with lime wedges and sprinkle with chopped cilantro.
