Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Steak
Take the rib-eye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps them cook more evenly.
- 2
Season the Steak
Generously season both sides of the steaks with salt and black pepper.
- 3
Heat the Skillet
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- 4
Sear the Steak
Add the rib-eye steaks to the hot skillet. Sear each side for about 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting time according to your desired doneness.
- 5
Add Flavor
During the last minute of cooking, add the garlic cloves, rosemary sprigs, and butter to the skillet. Spoon the melted butter over the steaks to enhance flavor.
- 6
Rest the Steak
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a cutting board for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.
- 7
Serve
Slice the rib-eye steaks against the grain and serve immediately.
