Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the onion into thin rings and chop the mushrooms into halves or quarters depending on their size.

  2. 2

    Cook the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until they start to become translucent. Add the mushrooms and continue to cook for another 5-6 minutes until they are tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove the vegetables from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Ground Sirloin

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground sirloin steak. Break it apart with a spatula and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked through and browned. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  4. 4

    Combine and Serve

Once the ground sirloin is cooked, return the sautéed mushrooms and onions to the skillet. Stir to combine and heat through for about 1-2 minutes. Serve hot.
