Method

Fried Shrimp Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the shrimp

Rinse the fresh shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Set up the breading station

In three separate shallow bowls, place flour in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and a mixture of breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder in the third.

  3. 3

    Bread the shrimp

Dredge each shrimp first in flour, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Ensure each shrimp is well-coated.

  4. 4

    Heat the oil

In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the shrimp

Carefully add the breaded shrimp to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Make sure not to overcrowd the pan.

  6. 6

    Drain and serve

Remove the shrimp from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with cocktail sauce.
