Cheesecake Directions

1. Prepare the Crust

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and salt. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated with butter.

2. Form the Crust

Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Use the bottom of a measuring cup to pack it tightly. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool.

3. Make the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the granulated sugar and beat until combined. Add sour cream and vanilla extract, mixing well.

4. Add Eggs

Add eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined. Avoid overmixing.

5. Pour the Filling

Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust in the springform pan.

6. Bake the Cheesecake

Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.

7. Cool and Chill

Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour. Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

8. Serve

Remove the cheesecake from the springform pan, slice, and serve chilled. Enjoy!
