Ribs

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and season the ribs with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and brown sugar. Rub the spices into the meat thoroughly.

  2. 2

    Cook the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover them tightly with another piece of foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the meat is tender.

  3. 3

    Make the BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Stir well and let simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. 4

    Glaze the Ribs

Once the ribs are tender, remove them from the oven and increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C). Brush the ribs generously with the BBQ sauce and return them to the oven, uncovered, for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the sauce caramelizes.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven, let them rest for a few minutes, then slice between the bones and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
