Prepare the Cheese
Cut the cheddar cheese into bite-sized cubes and set aside.

Make the Batter
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until well combined.

Heat the Oil
In a deep pan or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Batter the Cheese
Dip each cheese cube into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated.

Fry the Nuggets
Carefully place the battered cheese cubes into the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
