Pork Ribs

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). Rinse the pork ribs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better texture.

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Rub this spice mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.

  3. 3

    Cook the Ribs

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover the ribs with foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.

  4. 4

    Prepare the BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan, combine BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, and water. Heat over medium heat until warm, stirring occasionally.

  5. 5

    Glaze the Ribs

Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top layer of foil. Brush the BBQ sauce mixture generously over the ribs.

  6. 6

    Final Bake

Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and bake the ribs uncovered for an additional 20-30 minutes until the sauce is caramelized and bubbly.

  7. 7

    Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with your choice of sides (baked potato, steak fries, or spaghetti) and enjoy with a mini loaf of bread and salad.
