Cobbler Ingredients

Method

Cobbler Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fruit

In a large bowl, combine the fresh mixed berries with bourbon and half of the granulated sugar. Let it soak for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 3

    Make the Cobbler Batter

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining granulated sugar. Stir in the milk and melted butter until just combined.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Cobbler

Pour the berry mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly. Spoon the cobbler batter over the top of the berries, spreading it gently to cover.

  5. 5

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the batter is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm topped with scoops of vanilla or bourbon ice cream and drizzled with bourbon caramel sauce.
