Method

Cooking Directions

1

Prepare the Meat Sauce

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the grass-fed Angus ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

2

Add Pomodoro Sauce

Stir in the pomodoro sauce, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3

Prepare the Cheese Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the grated Parmesan cheese, and fresh basil. Mix well and set aside.

4

Assemble the Lasagna

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a baking dish, spread a layer of the meat sauce on the bottom. Place 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce. Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by a layer of mozzarella cheese. Repeat the process, adding another layer of meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese. Finish with a final layer of meat sauce, the remaining mozzarella, and the rest of the grated Parmesan cheese on top.

5

Bake the Lasagna

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

6

Let it Rest and Serve

Once out of the oven, let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with slices of organic bread and enjoy!
