Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patties

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cumin powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined and form into two equal-sized patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place cheddar and goat cheese on top of the patties. Cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

  4. 4

    Fry the Eggs

In a separate skillet, fry the eggs sunny-side up in a little olive oil until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

Spread Moroccan mayonnaise on the bottom half of each burger bun. Place the cheesy beef patty on top, followed by a layer of taktouka and zaalouk. Top with a fried egg and cover with the top half of the bun.
