1. Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, parsley, minced garlic, chopped onion, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, egg, and breadcrumbs. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.

2. Form Meatballs

Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and set aside.

Cooking the Sauce

3. Sauté Onions and Garlic

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.

4. Add Tomatoes and Seasoning

Stir in crushed tomatoes, green peas, cilantro, cumin, salt, black pepper, and water. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

5. Cook Meatballs

Carefully add the meatballs to the sauce. Cover and let simmer for about 20 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through and the sauce thickens.

Serving

6. Serve Hot

Garnish with additional chopped cilantro if desired. Serve the green peas tagine hot, alongside rice or crusty bread.
