Method
Preparation and Assembly
- 1
Make the Meatballs
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Form and Bake
Shape the mixture into small meatballs (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 20 minutes or until cooked through.
- 3
Melt the Cheese
Remove the meatballs from the oven and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of each meatball. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 4
Prepare the Sliders
While the meatballs are baking, slice the onion focaccia bread into individual slider-sized pieces. Once the cheese is melted, place each meatball on a slider bun.
- 5
Serve
Serve the sliders warm, optionally garnished with fresh basil or parsley.
