Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook the Rigatoni
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Sauce
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- 3
Add Sausage and Prosciutto
Add the pork sausage to the skillet, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the chopped prosciutto.
- 4
Incorporate the Stock and Beans
Pour in the chicken stock and bring to a simmer. Add the cannellini beans and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- 5
Add Broccoli
Stir in the broccoli florets and cook until bright green and tender, about 3-4 minutes.
- 6
Combine with Pasta
Add the drained rigatoni to the skillet, tossing to combine. Stir in the grated Romano cheese and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix until the cheese has melted and evenly coats the pasta.
- 7
Serve
Serve hot, garnished with additional Romano cheese if desired.
