Baked Clams Instructions
Prepare the Clams
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Rinse the littleneck clams under cold water to remove any sand or grit. Place them in a baking dish, open side up.
Make the Topping
In a mixing bowl, combine breadcrumbs, minced garlic, chopped parsley, olive oil, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined.
Assemble the Clams
Spoon the breadcrumb mixture generously over each clam, pressing down slightly to adhere the topping.
Add Clam Broth
Pour the clam broth around the clams in the baking dish, being careful not to wash off the topping.
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the clams are cooked through.
Serve
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm as an appetizer or main dish.
