Marinara Pasta Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Sauce

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add Tomatoes

Add the plum tomatoes to the skillet, crushing them with a spoon if using whole tomatoes. Stir and let simmer for about 10-15 minutes.

  3. 3

    Season the Sauce

Stir in the chopped basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for an additional 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  4. 4

    Cook the Pasta

While the sauce is simmering, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  5. 5

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to combine, ensuring the pasta is well coated.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the marinara pasta hot, topped with grated Romano cheese and additional fresh herbs if desired.
