Prepare the Sauce
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add Fresh Herbs
Stir in the chopped parsley and thyme, cooking for another minute.

Choose Your Sauce
For the white sauce, add the clam juice and bring to a gentle simmer. For the red sauce, add the crushed tomatoes and stir well.

Cook the Clams
Add the sliced clams to the skillet and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the clams are cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.

Serve
Remove from heat and serve hot, garnished with additional fresh herbs if desired.
