Pudim de Leite Ingredients
Method
Pudim de Leite Directions
- 1
Prepare the Caramel
In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring gently until the sugar dissolves. Once it starts to boil, stop stirring and let it cook until it turns a golden amber color. Quickly pour the caramel into a round baking dish, tilting the dish to coat the bottom evenly. Set aside to cool and harden.

Bake the Pudim
Pour the blended mixture over the hardened caramel in the baking dish. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the baking dish in a larger baking pan filled with water (water bath) to prevent burning. Bake for about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool and Serve
Once baked, remove the pudim from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. To serve, run a knife around the edges of the pudim, invert onto a serving plate, and enjoy!
