Instructions for Crispy Smashed Potatoes

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Wash and scrub the baby potatoes thoroughly, then place them in a large pot and cover with water. Add a pinch of salt.

  2. 2

    Boil the Potatoes

Bring the water to a boil and cook the potatoes for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are fork-tender. Drain the potatoes and allow them to cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Smash the Potatoes

On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, arrange the boiled potatoes. Using the bottom of a glass or a potato masher, gently smash each potato until it's about 1/2 inch thick.

  4. 4

    Season the Potatoes

Drizzle the smashed potatoes with olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss gently to coat the potatoes evenly.

  5. 5

    Bake the Potatoes

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy.

  6. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Remove the potatoes from the oven and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley. Serve hot as a delicious side dish.
