Method
Dough Preparation
- 1
Make the Dough
In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add water while kneading the mixture until a soft dough forms. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Filling Preparation
- 2
Prepare the Filling
In another bowl, combine the ground mutton, chopped onion, grated ginger, minced garlic, green chili, chopped coriander leaves, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
Momo Assembly
- 3
Shape the Momos
Divide the dough into small balls. Roll each ball into a thin circle. Place a spoonful of the mutton filling in the center of each circle. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal the momo.
Cooking
- 4
Steam the Momos
Place the momos in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper. Steam over boiling water for about 15-20 minutes, until the momos are cooked through and the dough is translucent.
