Method

Marinating the Meat

  1. 1

    Prepare Marinade

In a large bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Marinate Goat Meat

Add the goat meat to the marinade, ensuring it is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

Preparing the Chutney

  1. 3

    Make Chutney

In a blender, combine fresh cilantro, green chili, lemon juice, and salt. Blend until smooth. Adjust seasoning as needed.

Cooking the Goat

  1. 4

    Grill the Goat

Preheat the charcoal grill. Remove the goat meat from the marinade and skewer onto grilling sticks. Grill over medium-high heat for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and slightly charred.

Cooking the Rice

  1. 5

    Prepare Flaked Rice

In a pot, bring water to a boil. Add flaked rice and salt. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 10 minutes until the rice is cooked and water is absorbed.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

Serve the grilled goat meat with flaked rice on the side and a generous portion of chutney.
