Momo Filling

Method

Making Momo

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, minced ginger, chopped cabbage, grated carrot, soy sauce, salt, black pepper, and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 2

    Make the Dough

In a separate bowl, mix all-purpose flour with a pinch of salt. Gradually add water and knead until you have a smooth and elastic dough. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Shape the Momo

Divide the dough into small balls. Roll each ball into a thin circle. Place a spoonful of filling in the center. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal tightly. Repeat for all dough and filling.

  4. 4

    Steam the Momo

Prepare a steamer and bring water to a boil. Place the momos in the steamer basket, making sure they are not touching each other. Cover and steam for 15-20 minutes until the dough is cooked and translucent.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the momos from the steamer, let them cool for a minute, and serve hot with dipping sauce.
