Method

Fish Curry Preparation

  1. 1

    Sauté Aromatics

In a large pan, heat the cooking oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for another minute until fragrant.

  2. 2

    Add Spices

Stir in curry powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, and coriander powder. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.

  3. 3

    Add Tomato and Coconut Milk

Add the chopped tomato and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened. Pour in the coconut milk and stir well to combine.

  4. 4

    Add Fish

Gently add the fish fillets to the pan, ensuring they are submerged in the sauce. Season with salt to taste. Simmer for 10-15 minutes or until the fish is cooked through.

  5. 5

    Finish and Serve

Once cooked, sprinkle with fresh cilantro and serve hot.

Ghee Rice Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare Rice

Rinse basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a pot, heat ghee and add the rinsed rice, stirring for 2-3 minutes.

  2. 7

    Cook Rice

Add water and salt to the pot, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and let cook for 15 minutes or until water is absorbed and rice is fluffy.

Himalayan Spiced Flat Bread Preparation

  1. 8

    Make Dough

In a bowl, mix whole wheat flour, salt, and cumin seeds. Gradually add water to form a soft dough. Knead for 5-7 minutes.

  2. 9

    Cook Bread

Divide dough into small balls and roll out into flat rounds. Cook on a hot skillet with ghee or oil until golden brown on both sides.
