Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 2

    Sauté the Shrimp

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cheese Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In a medium saucepan, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 2 minutes until lightly golden. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture is smooth and thickened, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 4

    Add the Cheeses

Reduce heat to low and stir in the cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

Combine and Bake

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, sautéed shrimp, and cheese sauce. Mix well to ensure everything is coated in the cheese sauce.

  2. 6

    Prepare for Baking

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the mac and cheese mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Top evenly with breadcrumbs and sprinkle chopped parsley on top.

  3. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
