Method

For the Cajun Shrimp

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

In a medium bowl, combine the peeled and deveined shrimp with Cajun seasoning, olive oil, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Toss well to coat the shrimp evenly with the seasoning. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the marinated shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

For the Linguini

  1. 3

    Cook the Linguini

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the linguini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and reserve 1 cup of pasta water.

For the Ultimate Sauce

  1. 4

    Make the Sauce

In the same skillet used for the shrimp, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, stir in the heavy cream, and bring to a gentle simmer. Slowly whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.

  2. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Add the cooked linguini to the skillet with the sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach desired consistency. Stir in the cooked Cajun shrimp, chopped parsley, black pepper, and salt to taste.
