Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all ingredients. Slice the tomato and jalapeño. Chop the cilantro and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Grill the Jalapeño

Char the jalapeño on the grill or in a skillet until blistered, about 5 minutes. Remove and slice.

  4. 4

    Form the Patties

Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and shape into patties. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. 5

    Cook the Patties

In the same skillet used for the bacon, cook the beef patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes per side until they reach desired doneness. Top each patty with asadero cheese during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  6. 6

    Toast the Buns

Toast the brioche buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  7. 7

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of the toasted bun, place the beef patty with melted cheese, followed by the crispy bacon, roasted tomato, charred jalapeño, and fresh cilantro. Top with the other half of the bun.
