Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Carne Asada

In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Rub the mixture all over the prime carne asada and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Carne Asada

Preheat the grill to high heat. Once hot, grill the carne asada for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  3. 3

    Grill the Onions

While the carne asada is resting, slice the onion and grill it on the same grill until soft and slightly charred, about 3-4 minutes.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Tacos

Warm the corn tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side. Slice the carne asada into thin strips and place them onto the tortillas. Top with shredded cabbage, grilled onions, and a generous scoop of guacamole. Drizzle with spicy sauce to taste.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the tacos immediately with any remaining guacamole and spicy sauce on the side.
