Fried Pickles Ingredients
Method
Fried Pickles Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Pickles
Drain the sliced dill pickles and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- 2
Make the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornmeal, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until well combined.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large frying pan or deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
- 4
Fry the Pickles
Dip each pickle slice into the batter, allowing the excess to drip off. Carefully place the battered pickles into the hot oil, frying in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- 5
Drain and Serve
Remove the fried pickles from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
