Dacquoise Layers
Method
Preparing the Dacquoise
- 1
Preheat and Prepare
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and draw circles (about 8 inches in diameter) on the parchment as guides.
- 2
Whip Egg Whites
In a clean mixing bowl, whip the egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add the granulated sugar and continue to whip until stiff peaks form.
- 3
Fold Ingredients
Sift together the almond flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the whipped egg whites until just combined.
- 4
Pipe the Mixture
Transfer the mixture to a piping bag and pipe onto the prepared baking sheets, forming two even circles.
- 5
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the dacquoise layers are dry and easily lift off the parchment paper. Let cool completely.
