Method
Preparation
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breasts into strips about 1 inch wide and 3 inches long. Place them in a bowl and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Breading Process
Bread the Chicken
Take each chicken strip, first coat it in flour, shaking off excess. Then dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing excess to drip off, and finally coat it with bread crumbs, pressing lightly to adhere.
Frying
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or deep frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until hot (about 350°F or 175°C). You can test if the oil is ready by dropping a small piece of bread into the oil; if it sizzles immediately, it’s ready.
Fry the Chicken Strips
Carefully place the breaded chicken strips into the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry in batches if necessary for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
Drain Excess Oil
Once cooked, transfer the chicken strips to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
