Method

Preparing the Tea Base

  1. 1

    Boil the Water

In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep the Tea

Once the water is boiling, add 4 tablespoons of Thai tea leaves to the pot. Remove from heat and let it steep for about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Strain the Tea

After steeping, strain the tea into a pitcher to remove the tea leaves. Allow it to cool to room temperature.

Preparing the Sweetened Milk Mix

  1. 4

    Mix Ingredients

In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup of sweetened condensed milk, 1 cup of evaporated milk, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Stir until well mixed.

Assembling the Thai Iced Tea

  1. 5

    Prepare Glasses

Fill 2 glasses with ice cubes, about 1 cup per glass.

  2. 6

    Combine Tea and Milk

Pour the cooled Thai tea into the glasses over the ice, filling each glass about 2/3 full.

  3. 7

    Add Milk Mix

Top the tea in each glass with the sweetened milk mix, adjusting to taste.

  4. 8

    Garnish and Serve

If desired, garnish with mint leaves on top. Stir gently before drinking and enjoy your Thai iced tea!
