Preparation
1. Select Fresh Coconuts
Choose two mature, green coconuts that feel heavy for their size and have a healthy, intact husk.
2. Open the Coconuts
Using a sharp knife or coconut opener, carefully cut off the top of each coconut to create an opening for the water. Make sure to create a neat cut for easy pouring.
3. Extract the Coconut Water
Hold the coconut over a bowl or glass and tilt it to pour the fresh coconut water out. You may also use a straw for easier drinking.
4. Chill the Coconut Water
After extracting the coconut water, pour it into a pitcher and add ice cubes. Place it in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to chill before serving.
Serving
5. Garnish and Serve
Pour the chilled coconut water into glasses. Optionally, garnish each glass with a lime wedge and a few mint leaves for added flavor. Serve immediately and enjoy!
