Mushroom Preparation

Method

Mushroom Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Mushrooms

Clean the Portobello mushrooms by gently wiping them with a damp cloth. Remove the stems and gently scoop out the gills with a spoon to create space for the filling.

  3. 3

    Season the Mushrooms

In a bowl, mix olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Brush this mixture onto the mushroom caps on both sides.

Stuffing Mixture

  1. 4

    Prepare the Stuffing

In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped thyme, bread crumbs, and red pepper flakes. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and form a creamy filling.

  2. 5

    Stuff the Mushrooms

Take the prepared mushroom caps and fill each cap generously with the stuffing mixture, pressing it down slightly to ensure it holds together.

Baking

  1. 6

    Bake the Stuffed Mushrooms

Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the topping is golden brown.

  2. 7

    Serve

Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious stuffed mushrooms!
