Drawn Butter

Method

Cooking the Lobster

  1. 1

    Boiling the Lobster

Fill a large pot with enough water to cover the lobster and bring to a rolling boil. Add salt (about 2 tablespoons per gallon of water) to the boiling water.

  2. 2

    Cooking Time

Carefully add the whole lobster to the boiling water. Cover the pot and cook for about 10-12 minutes per pound, until the lobster is bright red and the meat is opaque.

  3. 3

    Cooling

Remove the lobster from the pot and let it cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with lemon wedges and drawn butter.

Preparing the Coleslaw

  1. 4

    Mixing the Vegetables

In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and grated carrot.

  2. 5

    Making the Dressing

In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  3. 6

    Combining Everything

Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrot mixture. Toss until everything is evenly coated. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Making the Drawn Butter

  1. 7

    Melting the Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and keep warm until ready to serve.

Preparing the Garlic Bread

  1. 8

    Preparing the Butter Mixture

In a bowl, mix the softened unsalted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley until well combined.

  2. 9

    Spreading on Bread

Slice the French baguette in half lengthwise. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves.

  3. 10

    Toasting

Place the garlic bread on a baking sheet and toast in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 10-12 minutes, until golden and crispy.
