- 5
- 6
Slice and Serve
Remove the sandwiches from the skillet, slice them in half, and set aside while you prepare the fries.
French Fries
- 7
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into even-sized sticks or wedges, about 1/4 inch thick.
- 8
Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 9
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the potato sticks to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy.
- 10
Drain and Season
Remove the fries from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Sprinkle with salt to taste.
- 11
Serve
Serve the hot fries alongside the grilled cheese sandwiches.
