Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tumbleweed Onions

Slice the onion into thin strips and soak in cold water for 30 minutes. In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, and salt. Dip the soaked onions into the batter, then deep-fry in hot oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Make the Bacon Mayo

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and smoked paprika. Mix well and set aside.

  4. 4

    Form and Cook the Patties

Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape into patties. Season with salt and pepper. Grill or pan-fry the patties on medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, adding a slice of cheddar cheese on top during the last minute to melt.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

Toast the burger buns lightly. Spread bacon mayo on both halves of the bun. Place the cooked beef patty on the bottom half, followed by crispy bacon, BBQ sauce, tumbleweed onions, shredded lettuce, and tomato slices. Top with the other half of the bun.
