Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ham

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Place the ham in a roasting pan and score the surface with shallow cuts in a diamond pattern.

  2. 2

    Make the Glaze

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cloves, ground cinnamon, and water. Stir until the mixture is well combined and begins to bubble. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.

  3. 3

    Glaze the Ham

Brush half of the glaze over the scored surface of the ham. Reserve the other half for later.

  4. 4

    Roast the Ham

Cover the roasting pan with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 1 hour, then remove the foil and brush with the remaining glaze. Continue to bake uncovered for an additional 30-45 minutes, basting every 15 minutes, until the ham is heated through and caramelized.

  5. 5

    Rest and Serve

Once done, remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
