Ingredients for Deviled Eggs

Method

Directions for Deviled Eggs

  1. 1

    Boil the Eggs

Place the eggs in a pot and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover the pot, turn off the heat, and let the eggs sit for 12 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cool the Eggs

After 12 minutes, transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water to cool for about 5 minutes. This will help in peeling them easily.

  3. 3

    Peel the Eggs

Once cooled, gently tap each egg on the counter and peel off the shell under running water for easier removal.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Filling

Cut the peeled eggs in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks. Place the yolks in a mixing bowl and mash them with a fork.

  5. 5

    Mix the Ingredients

Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, and black pepper to the mashed yolks. Mix until smooth and creamy.

  6. 6

    Fill the Egg Whites

Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the hollowed egg whites.

  7. 7

    Garnish

Sprinkle paprika over the filled eggs and garnish with chopped chives or parsley if desired.

  8. 8

    Serve

Arrange the deviled eggs on a serving platter and serve chilled.
