Turkey Preparation

Prepare the Turkey
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Rub the softened butter over the turkey, ensuring you cover it evenly. Season the turkey inside and out with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, rosemary, and thyme. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth into the bottom.

Roast the Turkey
Roast the turkey in the preheated oven. Cooking time is approximately 13 minutes per pound. Baste occasionally with the drippings for even cooking.

Prepare the Stuffing
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the chopped celery and onion, cooking until soft. In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, cooked vegetables, sage, salt, and pepper. Pour chicken broth over the mixture and stir until moistened. Stuff the turkey with the mixture or bake separately in a greased dish.

Make the Gravy
In a saucepan, combine turkey drippings and flour over medium heat, whisking until smooth. Gradually add chicken broth while whisking continuously until the gravy thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
