Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Once done, remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

  2. 2

    Boil the Eggs

In a small saucepan, place the eggs and cover them with cold water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat, cool in cold water, peel, and slice.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Shrimp

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Season the shrimp with your choice of blackening seasoning and grill for 2-3 minutes on each side until cooked through.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Crab Cakes

If using pre-made crab cakes, follow the cooking instructions on the packaging. If making from scratch, combine crab meat with breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, mustard, and seasoning, form into patties, and pan-fry until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Chop the Vegetables

Dice the red pepper, slice the red onion thinly, and chop the avocado into cubes. Set aside.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Combine Salad Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, diced tomatoes, chopped avocado, Kalamata olives, diced red pepper, and sliced red onion.

  2. 7

    Add Proteins

Top the salad with crispy bacon, sliced hard-boiled eggs, and the grilled shrimp and crab cakes.

  3. 8

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the avocado ranch dressing over the top of the salad. Toss gently to combine all ingredients.
